BENCHMARKS is a comprehensive student arts residency program that inspires young people to tackle major social issues and become engaged citizens. Students create large-scale, meaningful artwork on benches for public display, to effect social change. Our 721x bench will be on display at Wendell Foster Park throughout Summer 2022.

EPIC PLAYERS

EPIC Players (Empower, Perform, Include, Create), is a nonprofit, neuro-diverse theatre company dedicated to creating professional performing arts opportunities and supportive social communities in the arts for persons with developmental disabilities.
They worked with our Clinton Students during the Spring Session of the 21-22 school year.
UNIVERSE CITY

Through an Outdoor Learning Grant, Universe City was invited to contribute to PS721X’s wonderful agricultural program with the goal of:
- A comprehensive rebuild of farm irrigation systems to deliver water to all parts of the outdoor garden space
- Improving accessibility curation of the existing farm beds and removal of failed/ rotted garden boxes
- Implementation of mushroom production beds in the two primary tree pits
- Addition of a berry/ fruit tree orchard in four 16’ planters
This work will provide students with an opportunity to learn and apply gardening and planting skills learned in the classroom and will lead to improving our green space and reducing carbon emissions.
SOLAR ONE

P721X partnered with Solar One to bring hands-on learning about solar energy to our students at the Main.
FDNY

Students had a meet and greet with FDNY firefighters. They watched a fire safety video and had a Q & A afterwards. The goal of the FDNY instructors is to educate the public with critical life saving strategies that center on fire prevention, with a special focus on the city’s most vulnerable populations and at risk communities.

A comprehensive eye evaluation examining for blurred vision, lazy eyes and eye health. There was NO COST to the school or parent. Funding goes through the student’s medical insurance, when possible. We plan on expanding this service to our offsites this summer and in the Fall of 22.
