Community-focused nonprofit established in 1844 with recreational programs & services for all ages.Located in South Central Bronx, the Castle Hill YMCA is the only New York City YMCA with an outdoor pool, as well as state-of-the-art exercise equipment, an indoor pool, child care while you work out, and a community committed to helping you achieve your goals. Students do: Garden work, sweeping, indoor janitor tasks, clerical work in their offices. Founded in 1852, today the Y serves a diverse population of more than half a million New Yorkers who learn, grow, and thrive through programs and services at our 24 branches.
