SEL stands for Social Emotional Learning. Social Emotional Learning involves building skills in the following areas:
- Managing emotions and feelings
- Having Empathy or understanding how other people feel.
- Solving problems
- Making responsible decisions
- Maintaining healthy relationships.
SEL is just as important as learning ELA and math skills. The skills you learn through SEL help you to succeed in school, work and throughout your whole life!
